Requesting account on powered by PIMS web site
This part of the user manual explains the procedure for submitting the account request on powered by PIMS web sites.
The account request link is located in the log in block on any powered by PIMS web site. When clicked, it opens the online application form. The applicant fills in the online form and submits it.
In order to verify the email address belongs to the person submitting the previous request, the system automatically sends a validation notice with unique validation codes to avoid impersonation and forgeries. The user receiving this notice should validate it, as directed in the email (copy/pasting the code in appropriate location, or simply clicking the embedded link).
After proper confirmation as described at previous step, the account request is queued for approval, and the admin of website will be notified about the new account request.
After reviewing and approval of queued requests, the applicant will receive an automated notification with the username and password. The username is in firstname.lastname format, while the password is randomly generated. The users logs in with received credentials and can change his profile info (including password) using My Account menu (Edit tab).
