Cornerstones of foundation for PfP Training Center
The «Partnership for Peace» Training Center was founded in accordance with the new Military Doctrine of Kazakhstan, adopted in 2007, and Individual Partnership Actions Plan between Republic of Kazakhstan and NATO.
The Military Doctrine defines the following tasks for security during peacetime such as «...implementation of international obligations on sustaining a global security, including participation in peacekeeping operations...».
Defense Institute of the Kazakhstan MOD
The Defense Institute was established in 2005 to satisfy growing demand for military in command of foreign languages due to:
- Expanded military cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan with other countries both on the bilateral basis and within international organizations.
- Increased collaboration with NATO on a variety of projects and programs
- Need to further develop country’s peacekeeping capacity
- Transformation of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan
MISSION STATEMENT
To implement educational programs of higher military professional education as well as to accomplish scientific researches of applied character.
