CMEP SEE Technical Workshop in Bulgaria
On June 9-11 2009 in Sofia, Bulgaria took place the CMEP South East European Technical Workshop.
Participants in the Southeast Europe CMEP Council Technical Workshop included representatives from Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Turkey, and the host nation, Bulgaria.
US Army Corps of Engineers representatives, lead by Mrs. Diane Acurio, also participated in the Southeast Europe CMEP Council Technical Workshop June 9-11 in Sofia Bulgaria as part of ongoing emergency response planning for each Civil Military Emergency Preparedness Council Southeast Europe nation.
Spas Panchev, Deputy Minister of Defence, Stefko Burdzhiev, Director General of National Civil Protection Service, and Emel Etem, Deputy Prime Minister, spoke to various country representatives participating in the Southeast Europe Civil Military Emergency Preparedness Council Technical Workshop June 9-11, 2009.
