Regional Cooperation 2008
The Final Planning Conference (FPC) for the multinational table-top exercise Regional Cooperation 2008 was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 21-25 April 2008.

In compliance with the Plan of bilateral military cooperation between the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), the exercise proper will be conducted in July 2008. The venue will be the Center for Advanced Training for the officers of the MoD of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. In addition to the Host Nation, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Republic of Kazakhstan, the USA, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Republic of Tajikistan will be represented.

The Regional Cooperation exercises, initially titled CENTRAZBAT, originated back in 1997. In 2004 the exercise was held in the US, in 2005 in the Federal Republic of Germany, in 2006 in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, and in 2007 in the Republic of Kazakhstan. These exercises are targeted at peacekeeping and counter-terrorist activities.
