Exercises

PfP Exercises focus on Peacekeeping, Humanitarian Assistance, Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, and other operations as necessary. Participation in bilateral and multilateral exercises give Partner Nations the opportunity to work with NATO and US forces. These exercises increase the level of cooperation and interoperability for all participants. There are two types of exercise categories that qualify for Warsaw Initiative Funds:

NATO/PfP Events

• Open to all Partners through NATO/PfP Coordination Cell- such as "Cooperative" and "Noble" exercises
• NATO can pay up to 80% of conference expenses
• US can pay the remaining costs

"In the Spirit of" PfP

• EUCOM directed exercises, such as Combined Endeavor, Baltops, Rescuer, Medceur, and Adriatic Phiblex
• Not open to all Partners
• US can pay a Partner's entire cost
